Top 10 Cubing Releases of 2025 — My Picks!
2025 has been an incredibly busy year for new cube releases. I’ve already listed nearly 300 new products on the store — and the year isn’t over yet! While I do sometimes complain about the flood of mediocre and unoriginal products, this list celebrates the genuinely exciting, innovative, and high-impact releases we’ve seen so far.
Below are my Top 10 Cubing Releases of 2025, with links to the products on speedcubing.org where available.
10. MoYu WeiLong V11
MoYu WeiLong V11
A subtle but meaningful improvement over the Super WeiLong V2, the WeiLong V11 delivers excellent performance at a noticeably lower price point. It has already been used for multiple world records and high-level solves by YiHeng Wang and other top solvers. It might have ranked higher if MoYu hadn’t released so many cubes in the past few years.
9. Vin 4x4 V2 (Apex, Surge, Sprint)
Vin 4x4 V2
VinCube discontinued the original Vin 4x4 V1 and returned with a completely redesigned V2, available in Apex (single track), Surge (dual track), and Sprint (triple track). The size has been reduced to 58mm, matching the AoSu V7, and performance remains extremely smooth. It will be interesting to see whether top solvers begin switching to this model.
8. MoYu AoShi V4
MoYu AoShi V4
MoYu’s newest flagship 6×6 is a strong performer. Available in four versions, all of which turn exceptionally well, the AoShi V4 is slightly smaller than the AoShi WRM but maintains the same high-level performance that solvers expect.
7. ShengShou Clock V2
ShengShou Clock V2
For five years, the QiYi Clock has completely dominated the market — until now. The ShengShou Clock V2 arrives with just as many magnets, a lower price, and comparable performance. Some cubers don’t love the aesthetics, but in terms of solving experience, it's right on par. It will be interesting to see whether ShengShou releases endless colour variants like QiYi did.
6. MoYu AoFu V5
MoYu AoFu V5
The successor to the legendary AoFu WRM, the AoFu V5 is smaller, faster, and arguably the best 7×7 currently on the market. Just like its 6×6 counterpart, it comes in four versions, giving cubers a lot of choice depending on their preferred feel.
5. Zeal Timer

Released in January 2025, the Zeal Timer is one of the most innovative accessories of the year. It includes both scrambling and time-saving features directly on the device itself — no phone required. Scrambles, previous times, and more are displayed right on the timer screen, making it a genuinely convenient tool for practice.
4. QiYi Warrior 7×7 M UV
QiYi Warrior 7×7 M UV
Despite the initial manufacturing mishap with the corner logo, QiYi quickly resolved the issue. The cube remains spectacular for its price. Performance is nearly on par with the AoFu WRM, yet this model is only £15, making it one of the best-value big cubes ever released.

A genuinely outstanding resource packed with insights on becoming world-class in all 17 WCA events. It includes beginner, intermediate, and advanced advice in a single physical book — quickly becoming a must-have reference for serious cubers.
2. QiYi Void Cube
QiYi Void Cube
Finally — a void cube that actually turns well! QiYi has achieved something remarkable here: a stable, smooth-turning 3×3 with no core. You can even put your finger through the middle while doing a 30° corner cut. One of the most fun and surprising releases of the year.
1. QiYi 8×8 M (and larger)
QiYi 8×8 M
The QiYi 8×8 M is a phenomenal release — finally giving us an 8×8 that turns like a 7×7. After DianSheng released their magnetic 8×8 in 2022, many assumed no one would surpass it for years, but QiYi has outdone themselves with a cube that is faster, cleaner, and more stable. QiYi has also extended this approach to even larger cubes, redefining expectations for high-layer puzzles.
