Last Saturday at Stevenage October 2024, Daniel Partridge broke his own national record for Pyraminx single with a time of 0.87 seconds. He has assured me that while he has practiced sliding, he will never do it officially so I will have to trust that this time is legitimate, after all, he is well known to get very good pyraminx times.
He told me that it was a 7 mover but that most people didn't spot it so no one else got anything crazy on the same scramble, Harry Allen got a 2.26 on it but obviously that is nowhere near as good. Daniel Partridge's result places him 5th in the world for single and he joins only two other people who have got an official sub-1 single more than once.
Daniel Partridge is currently ranked 10th in the world for pyraminx average, he was 2nd at one point but a few other people have got fast, young Chinese cuber, Lingkun Jiang has also dominated the rankings recently, taking the top 6 results for average.
