DianSheng have also suggested that they will release an 8x8x8 but they have also said there will be a magnetic version, this will be a first, some people have magnetized 8x8x8s but none have been factory magnetic yet. I suspect this is because there is less demand since 8x8x8 is not a WCA event but I don't see why there shouldn't be a magnetic 8x8x8 and hopefully one day 9x9x9, 10x10x10...
