QiYi have made a strange release recently as they have previously not released UV coated versions of their 'flagship' cubes, only their 'pioneer' cubes. The Flagship version usually features a spring with core magnets, while the pioneer version usually features maglev tensions. Usually, QiYi only UV coat their highest end 'pioneer' versions, as they did with the Tornado V4 and QiYi M Pro V2. The Tornado V4, QiYi M Pro V2 and TX3V1 are all variants of the same basic design but at different price ranges and with different levels of refinement. Initially, when QiYi released the Tornado V3 pioneer UV coated, it was discovered that due to a different centre design, it wasn't really possible to swap the pieces to make a UV coated version of the flagship even if you did buy both cubes. I don't suspect the XT3V1 Flagship UV will be anything especially special but it may attract some interest from some cubers. the XT3V1 is a lot more flexible than the Tornado V4 and I think I would actually prefer it despite it being cheaper.
