What is the best Megaminx in 2024

The Megaminx is a 12 sided puzzle, the difficulty in solving is not significantly higher than on the 3x3 but it just takes longer as there are more pieces to solve, megaminx hardware has also improved significantly in the last few years and we have recently seen the introduction of core magnets in high-end megaminxes, this is undoubtedly a positive innovation. However, megaminx requires significant concentration and your ability to find the right pieces and insert them in the right way has more of an impact than the hardware.

Best Megaminx overall:

DaYan Megaminx Pro M: £30

The DaYan Megaminx Pro M is an improvement on the earlier DaYan Megaminx V2M, it has core magnets to aid positioning and performs very well, the link is for the large version, there is a regular sized version for those with smaller hands.

Best Megaminx (£20 and under):

DianSheng Galaxy Megaminx (£17):

The DianSheng Galaxy Megaminx is another very nice megaminx and it was only released in 2024, it also has core magnets and feels very good.

Best Megaminx (£12 and under):

YJ YuHu V2M: £11

The YJ YuHu V2M has been out for a few years now but has been used in many world records despite its low price point, for a long time it was simply the best overall despite it being cheaper than most options.

Gan Megaminx V2M: I can't really complete this without mentioning the Gan Megaminx V2M as it is a really good megaminx, I just personally have a slight preference for the DaYan Pro M, I would highly recommend the Gan Megaminx V2M if you can afford to give it a go.
