The DaYan GuHong Pro M is a great value magnetic 3x3 speedcube from DaYan, one of the best known speedcubing brands, it features a ball-core which improves the stability of the cube by having extra magnets between the core and corners. The cube features 5 hand-adjustable tension settings with 1 being the fastest with the best corner-cutting and 5 being more robust with less corner-cutting, the cube has been released in a total of 6 versions, 3 different sizes of 54mm, 55mm and 56mm, each available with regular springs or with repelling magnets (known as maglev) instead, maglev allows the cube to be faster but often less controllable.

Shipping is done via Royal Mail, stock is located in Peterborough, United Kingdom so should arrive to UK addresses within a few days, international shipping may take a bit longer and transit times can vary significantly.

For most items I currently offer two shipping methods:

Tracked 24 for £3.95: around 98% of orders arrive next day after dispatch with this method

Tracked 48 for £2.85: usually takes 2 days after dispatch but does vary.

For orders weighing under 50g I offer these two shipping methods:

1st class for £3.95 which usually arrives next day

2nd class for £2.85 which usually takes 2-3 days

For customers outside the UK:

International Standard: non-tracked service that usually takes about a week but can take longer, please do not be surprised when the 'tracking number' you receive doesn't work, it isn't meant to.

International Tracked and Signed: tracked service that usually takes about a week but can vary.

You are responsible for checking local import and tax laws and are responsible for paying any taxes you may incur when the item arrives in your country. Please ensure your address is findable by your local postal services, I would suggest putting your address into Google Maps to make sure it is findable.

Returns

If the item is faulty:

If you find a fault with the product within 30 days that significantly restricts your ability to use it you may request to return it for fixing or a replacement if fixing is not possible. Once you have provided reasonable evidence that the product is faulty and cannot easily be fixed then you can return it to 128 Valley Road, Loughborough, LE11 3QA.

I will then attempt to fix it myself, usually I will be able to easily fix it and can then send it back to you quickly, if I am unable to fix it then I can offer a replacement of the product or a refund or similar product if the item is no longer in stock.

Please note that if a cube pops, this is not a reasonable justification for a return, all good cubes have the potential to pop occasionally, if it happens frequently you should consider tightening the tensions or turning more smoothly. Learning to fix popped cubes is an important part of your growth and development as a cuber, it is a very useful skill to develop, I have some tutorials on fixing pops on my youtube channel and there are obviously many more online.

Great cube

Amazing cube for the price. It has a great smooth feel and I use it as a backup main. Would highly recommend

Great smooth and fast budget cube but has its problems

After having this cube for a few weeks I gave this cube a 3/5 because it’s a very smooth and stable cube, but it’s very fast out the box and needs slowing down, I would normally fix by tightening the compression and loosing the screw depth and adding some slower lube, however with this cube having relatively tight fixed tensions when you tighten the compression you get a cube that is a lot more stable but for me locks up a lot more. I also noticed when the compression was at its tightest the system seems to bottom out rather than relying on the spring/ maglev to keep tension. I think this cube would have benefited from either having looser stock tensions or the ability to loosen them like all other cubes, that way I would have loosed the screw depth but tightened the compression, I think that would have made this an almost perfect beginner cube that has the potential to be someone’s main. Also as a side note I noticed the edges of the cube are a lot more squared off and blunt like old style cubes, I think they could have done with being rounded off a bit more which would have given the puzzle a nicer feel. Overall I still like this cube for a different smooth, fast and stable feel but it hasn’t replaced my Moyu V9 BC as a main, the magnet strength is also a light to medium feel however the ball core adds a decent amount of auto alignment which is a nice touch(I did have a magnet come loose but this was easy enough to glue back in), I would also recommend this to beginners if they want to try a smooth cube with a ball core and the 55mm is a good middle ground to see what size cube you prefer.
