Well this failed! I wanted to see whether this would work but unfortunately it wrecks the elasticity adjustment system and the centre caps won't go back on, I might try this with some other cubes that have a more standard centre cap design. Unfortunately it is far more difficult to do than standard magnet placement but is definitely something interesting.
