The QiYi Clock is still the best clock on the market without any dispute, when a world record is broken, no one asks what clock was used as everyone should know that it was the QiYi Clock, one could argue that small performance improvements could be made but ultimately, no cube brand has been willing to try for the past 4 years. The lilac clock looks like it will be the 3rd permanent colour for the QiYi Clock, there has not been any change to the mechanism and while I have heard that the new clocks have a slightly different magnet positioning, I believe that it is definitely the same for both the blue and lilac clocks and will be soon for the black ones too. It isn't a matter of performance, it is just a matter of aesthetics and maybe recognition, if you like the look of a lilac clock then why not give it a try?
