What is the best Pyraminx in 2024?

The Pyraminx is another puzzle that is enjoyed by many speedcubers, for some strange reason, my solution guide is the most viewed page on this site, there hasn't been much change in pyraminx hardware in the past year unfortunately so my recommendations remain the same as last year. Lingkun Jiang has somehow managed to obliterate the pyraminx world record with a Gan Pyraminx, most cubers don't really like the Gan Pyraminx but it seems he is capable of getting excellent times with it, maybe he would be faster if he was allowed to switch without losing his sponsorship though.

Best Pyraminx overall:

PiCube MoYu WeiLong Pyraminx: £40

The PiCube MoYu WeiLong Pyraminx is an upgraded version of the regular WeiLong Pyraminx that features core magnets to improve the stability, I have got very good results with this but am certainly not a good authority on pyraminx hardware.

Best Pyraminx (£15 and under):

MoYu WeiLong Pyraminx: £13

The MoYu WeiLong Pyraminx is a very nice Pyraminx that is used by a lot of fast solvers, most people prefer the cheaper spring version but there is a there is also a Maglev version, it is just far too fast without heavy lubrication

Best Pyraminx (£10 and under):

MoYu RS Pyraminx: £7

The MoYu RS Pyraminx is a cheaper version of the WeiLong Pyraminx, it performs very well but feels a bit cheaper, there is also a maglev version too.

Best for under £5:

MoYu MeiLong Pyraminx: £5

The MoYu MeiLong Pyraminx is probably still the best ultra-budget pyraminx, it has a clicking mechanism that makes it feel slightly magnetic.

Highly commended:

YuXin Little Magic: £8

The YuXin Little Magic Pyraminx is an interesting puzzle, it has been used by quite a few top solvers including the UK national record holder, Daniel Partridge, however, it requires significant set-up to be good and there are also rumours that the new batches aren't as good, I do have a few used old batch ones lying around so contact me if you are interested in them.
