The DaYan TengYun 2x2x2 M was the first modern magnetic 2x2x2 from DaYan, the original DaYan 2x2x2 from 2010 was still popular for years after it was discontinued. The TengYun 2x2x2 features a smooth and hollow plastic feel, it is also the quietest regular sized 2x2x2 on the market. DaYan have since released an updated version but some cubers still prefer the original.

The YJ MGC elite 2x2x2 is a long awaited 2x2x2 completing the MGC 2-6 line up, it has a centre-edge magnet design instead of the ordinary corner-edge magnet design and is slightly larger than most 2x2x2s at 51mm.

The MoYu RS2M is a promising 2x2x2 under MoYu's Cubing Classroom line, it is similar in design and feel to the RS3M 2020, it is a nice 2x2x2 with a distinctly different feel from the Meilong 2x2x2 M.

The YuXin Little Magic 2x2x2 is a new magnetic 2x2x2 from YuXin, we expect it to compete with other budget magnetic 2x2x2s very well.

The MoYu weipo WRM is a very nice 2x2x2, it is fast and smooth and used by many good 2x2x2 solvers. It is a very good intermediate and advanced type cube.

The X-Man Flare 2x2x2 is the first 2x2x2 to come with changeable magnets, meaning you can change the strength by just moving 3 switches. It retains a QiYi feel, similar to the Valk 2 and QiYi MS but is generally faster but a bit lacking on the corner cutting unfortunately which can lead to some annoying lock-ups. It is definitely a nice 2x2x2 and the cheapest of the main flagship 2x2x2s at the moment at just £13 (despite being the only one with changeable magnet strengths)!

The YuXin Magic Eye 2x2x2 is a 2x2 from YuXin that is designed to be a little confusing, to be solved the colours must all be the same on each side you are looking at, the problem is that the colours are basically in the centre of the cube so to solve it you need to think laterally as it is almost inverted.

The original DaYan TengYun 2x2x2 had a brilliant hollow and light feel, now there is an upgrade. The DaYan TengYun Plus 2x2x2 has a wave track design on the pieces to lock in lubricants, it comes with 84 magnets, 48 for the standard edge-corner magnets and 36 for the new centre-edge magnets, the centre-edge magnets have 3 different magnetic strength options which can be changed by rotating a gear around each centre.
