At the end of September, at a competition in Poland, Teodor Zajder achieved an average of 4.69 seconds, this puts him just 0.02 seconds behind European record holder, Tymon Kolasinski, who has held the European record since 2021 (which has also been the world record for some of that time).
Teodor Zajder first rose to attention when he broke the 2x2 world record single with a solve of 0.43, this record still stands and also survived the sliding investigations last year. However, it is clear that he has his sights on improving at 3x3 now and will probably beat the European Record by the end of the year.
It is exciting to see a young European speedcuber rise up so quickly, in recent years, China has had a large part to play in training younger cubers to achieve very fast times, however, we are now seeing similar results from other countries such as Poland. Since Teodor is from the same country as the European Record holder, he doesn't have any National Record to target first, the National Record is the European Record itself so he is ranked both second in Poland and second in Europe.
