Core magnets have become very popular in 3x3x3s, 2x2x2s, pyraminxes and skewbs but cube manufacturers have so far not attempted to implement this technology into big cubes. Picube have decided to add core magnets to a range of big cubes including the MGC 4x4x4, these core magnets allow the cube to be just as fast but also more stable due to the magnetic attraction between the core and corners. Picube set these cubes up to be rather slow but that set-up can be changed to produce potentially the best 4x4x4 on the market.
