Those who know me well will know that I do like weirdly sized twisty puzzles, they just create a unique dimension to the puzzle and requires me to adapt my turning to suit the new size, this is something that from my experience, I have noticed that younger cubes are less able to do successfully, especially when the size is larger than normal.
What I did not expect to see is QiYi releasing a magnetic 18CM 3x3, I was pleased when DianSheng release the series of magnetic 7-10CM cubes and similar sizes for other twisty puzzles but 18CM seems a bit far, after all, are magnets even useful on a puzzle that size? I guess I will find out soon, although from my experience, I seem hardly any faster at solving 18CM 3x3s than 40CM 3x3s, I am forced to use the same technique which requires using my whole arms to make every turn and seeking to completely eliminate rotations.
