Why our naming system for large minx puzzles is terrible

Why our naming system for large minx puzzles is terrible

For years we have had to work with a terrible naming structure for various minx puzzles and I finally decided to make a video complaining about it! The megaminx was invented in the 1990s and for some reason cubers just decided to use the same naming stuff for other minx puzzles, both smaller and larger. This created a problem when the 2x2 minx was called the kilominx and the 5x5 minx was called the gigaminx, this created various issues which have not been addressed, it has left even layered minxes with no reasonable name and forced cube companies to use terms like 'master kilominx' and 'elite kilominx'. However, I am also concerned about the ultra large minx puzzles, some have not been correctly named and one other is simply too large for the new metric system. The lack of a better naming structure also transfers over to pyraminxes where no prefixes can be applied to larger pyraminxes.
