YJ released the MGC 4x4x4 around 4 years ago and it has remained one of the most popular 4x4s on the market ever since. They have now decided to release a UV coated one, the fact that this is only slightly after the new Vin Cube 4x4 was released suggests that this may be the reason, as the Vin Cube 4x4 is available in both standard and UV coated versions anyway.
