Can I beat Max Park's world record single (on the same scramble)

Max Park recently broke the 3x3x3 world record single with a time of 3.13 seconds, I decided I might as well try and downsolve it as fast as I can and it turns out I cannot get anywhere near Max's time even when I know his exact solution and have practiced it many times. His solution shows he is improving his efficiency, it is safe to assume that he planned out two pairs in inspection and may have known about the third free pair, he did not do any fancy edge control going into last layer and was left with an easy OLL which gave him a PLL skip.
