Lockdown #2

Posted by Daniel Evans on

The government has recently announced there will be another national lockdown from Novermber 5th to December 2nd, hopefully this will not get through parliament, but I am not optimistic. I will try to operate as normally as possible regardless of eventualities. While I do not want to make it a regular occurence talking politics on this blog, I do feel it is important to address this. I do not support a second lockdown, I believe that the economic harm and the loss of life caused by delayed treatment vastly outweighs the risks posed by COVID-19, new drugs are rigorously tested for efficacy and safety before they are approved whereas lockdowns and other restrictions implemented this year have not been, instead we have been pressured into accepting things by fear. I certainly feel for the small high-street businesses who only just survived the first lockdown, how will they survive a second?

I would urge people to oppose these restrictions how you see fit.
