Non cuber solves his first cube blindfolded at an official competition!
I have got a few non-cubers to solve cubes by direct instructions, it is good practice for me because it forces me to properly know my algorithms and maybe notice stuff I would not have otherwise noticed. At Glasgow Spring they held an unofficial round of team blind, after two kids continually messed around at my stall, I decided to get one of their dads to be the solver at team blind (despite him having never solved a cube) and we were scarily close to beating these two kids and making cut-off, allowing us to do the full five solves! I wonder how fast I can get a non-cuber to solve a cube if everything goes perfectly!
