James Alonso broke the 3x3 national record again!

British speedcuber James Alonso broke the 3x3 national record average last weekend with an average of 6.00, this is slightly faster than his previous NR but is pushing the boundary very close to sub-6, it must be very disappointing to get so close to such a monumental barrier but not quite be able to beat it.

James Alonso has achieved national records in 2x2 and 3x3 but doesn't compete very often, he also offers a coaching program called Solveboost which aims to help cubers improve, maybe I should try it myself at some point?

At the moment there is really no one else with any chance of beating his national record anytime soon, the previous national record holder, Chris Mills, has moved to New Zealand and has switched his nationality on the WCA, I do hope that more people will get down into the low 6 second solve range in the UK soon.
