Matt Bahner releases documentary on building his 34x34
Matt Bahner uploaded his documentary on building the 34x34 on Tuesday and it may potentially be the best cubing video ever made. It runs through his story with getting interested in building really big cubes and what he has had to learn in the process. He shows how he converted his house into a 3D print farm to print all the pieces necessary for such a massive cube and shows the design challenges he faced along the way. What is incredible is all the short cuts he could have taken but chose not to to preserve the turning quality of the puzzle, the puzzle became so heavy that he needed a hydraulic lift to move it around, he also spent much longer on the assembly for the purpose of aesthetics in the build timelapse video. At the end of the video he stated that his lifes goal was to make a 100x100, he did say that he probably wouldn't do that for a long time but he stated that was his ultimate goal and if he can accomplish that then that would be incredible.
