Timofei Tarasenko breaks megaminx world record single

Russian speedcuber, Timofei Taresenko, broke the megaminx world record single at Uzebekistan nationals on Friday with a solve of 22.05, this time improves on the previous world record set a few months back by Aidan Grainger. Timofei has also recently broken the 6x6 average european record which was previously held by Tymon Kolasinski.

Timofei has to travel internationally to compete at official WCA competitions because they are currently banned in his home country due to their invasion of Ukraine, he has also achieved times at unofficial competitions in Russia which would be world records if they were official.

Timofei Taresenko is only 13 years old and it still seems like he has improvement potential so it will be interesting to see whether he does eventually break any more world records, especially the big cube ones.
