I recently ran a Giftcart giveaway where I asked people to guess how long it would take me to solve the new DianSheng 15x15 for my first time. There were many guesses ranging from just 5 minutes to over 4 hours, obviously I had my own expectation which was around 1-1.5 hours and unfortunately I was on the higher end of my expected range. I found it difficult to count the layers and get all the pieces into the right layer to solve the 13 piece bars in the centres (13x over per centre!). I shared this short on YouTube, Instagram and Tiktok and asked people to guess my time and then livestreamed it on my channel, unfortunately there were various issues with streaming so I took a long time to get it set up and also had to split the stream up when my laptop crashed. In the end I solved the 15x15 in 1 hour 28 minutes and 48 seconds and the closest guess was definitely from Ollie_B0304 who guessed a time of 1 hour 28 minutes and 32 seconds. Ultimately, I am not sure whether I want to solve cubes this large again and I am hesitant to unbox and solve puzzles such as the Petaminx myself as I just know it would take even longer to solve.
