The X-Man Spark was the 2nd magnetic 7x7 to be released, all the way back at the beginning of 2018, it remained the choice for most top speedcubers for at least two years but has lost popularity since the release of the MGC and AoFu WRM.

The Spark is surprisingly still used by Max Park sometimes, but he seems to rotate between a few big cubes. The news of a Spark V2 is exciting because it suggests QiYi is going to make a comeback in the big cubes market and release something decent, I just hope it doesn't flop like the Shadow V2.

QiYi were the first to release a mass producced core magnetic 5x5 so we can assume that they will try and be the first to do the same for 7x7, I feel that there is potential in the Spark to compete with some of these other releases but it needs to be designed very well.
