Christmas is coming soon and this is an exciting time for many speedcubers but unfortunately it is easy for people to buy the wrong cubes. It is especially common for relatives to know you are interested in cubes so just buy whatever cubing related thing they can find, so what do cubers actually want this christmas?

I have various recommendations from top of the line speedcubes for the various WCA events to larger and more challenging puzzles.

Big cubes can be good to keep kids quiet over Christmas, they are quieter to turn than smaller cubes and take much longer to solve, sometimes they may also prefer large minx puzzles too.

Other good gifts include bags and backpacks which they can use to store cubes. For older cubers, gifts such as smart cubes or the Gan Robot may also work well.
