The YuXin Earth Cube has been quite popular for a while now and is a very nice puzzle, it is an actual sphere and is an interesting challenge to solve as it tests both your knowledge of how to solve a 2x2 and your knowledge of the world map. I have heard of other world map cubes but haven't been able to get any until recently.

I also made a joke about the earth actually secretly being a very difficult bandaged 14x14 cube in a youtube video but it seems very few people actually watched that video.

I am not sure if this is actually a recent release or a re-release of some older puzzles but I have received some new cubes that are manufactured by Calvin's Puzzle, these are actually cubic puzzles which makes things different.

Since the earth is really a sphere, it can be difficult to imprint it onto a cube, this is the same challenge that mapmakers have had for hundreds of years whenever they try and make a map of the earth on a flat sheet of paper, I suspect it may actually be more accurate to put it on a cube than on a flat sheet.

Calvin's puzzle have released 4 new earth cubes, they have released a 3x3 and a 4x4 version with the flag of each country inside its borders. They have also released a 3x3 and 4x4 version with just the outlines and not the flags inside.
