It is weird when these cubes come out and I get excited about them but have to then take the decision not to stock them because they would be very expensive and take up loads of space. I do intend to get one for myself and competition stalls and things like that though. QiYi posted about it on their facebook page and the puzzle is now available on wholesalers so I can get people one on request.

Their new pyraminx is 56mm in size which makes it very close to the size of Matt Bahner's world record, obviously this will be the world's largest mass produced pyraminx, seconded only by their own pyraminx option! While I hold various world records for solving large 3x3x3s, solving large pyraminxes is a different thing and I failed to get anywhere close to good pyraminx solvers such as Ed Burgess and Joel Keenan with QiYi's other pyraminx that is 'only' 27CM, I suspect the story will be very similar with this, albeit with more effort required to make turns on this new pyraminx.
