Recently at I used this puzzle on 3 occasions to break 4 national records and I have this cube to thank.
First off with the tips, a stock ootb ylm pyra does not have the greatest tips as the magnets are way too strong and they are slow but with minor modifications they can become incredible. I removed 1 magnet from each tip and lubed them with 1 drop off Dnm-37 each, after this they became by far the best tips on any pyra I have tried letting me try more adventurous fingertricks and just being reliably fast but controllable.
The main body is quite fast, loose and sandy ootb and how I fixed this was by tightening the puzzle a decent amount and then adding Traxxas to the core and pieces (any silicone based lubricant would work here). This gave the cube an incredible feel, somewhere between fast and controllable and it lets me do extremely convenient fingertricks (such as all of my U moves are index flicks).
The final review of this puzzle is that it has a snappy, fast feel whilst being controllable and considering the price I would reccomend it to everyone from beginners to world classsolvers.
