Ryan Eckersley breaks 4x4 Blindfolded European Record Average again

Ryan Eckersley breaks 4x4 Blindfolded European Record Average again

After breaking the multi-blind national record last week, Ryan Eckersley went one further by breaking the European Record for 4x4 Blindfolded mean with a mean of 3 solves of 1:22.99. Ryan has held the 4x4 Blindfolded European Record for the average since 2024, when he beat Daniel Wallin (from Sweden), this is the 2nd time he has beaten his own European Record and maintains his position as 3rd in the world, getting closer to catching up to 2nd place and former World Record Holder, Kaijun Lin.

He faces some new competition from Simon Praschi of Austria, Simon beat Ryan's European Record single earlier this year but hasn't yet got a good average. The real challenge for everyone is to get the $1000 4BLD bounty which Stanley Chapel has offered for the next people to get a sub-1 4x4 Blindfolded success, Stanley Chapel first solved a 4x4 Blindfolded in under 1 minute back in 2021 and last year he even managed a sub-1 average. Stanley remains so far ahead that he offered this bounty to try and encourage people to catch up with him but it remains clear that a sub-1 4x4 Blindfolded single is an incredibly difficult challenge.
