QiYi Void Cube M UV

In Stock

Regular price £9.95
Regular price Sale price £9.95

The QiYi Void Cube is the first Void Cube deemed worthy of being on sale here. The Void Cube is a 3x3 cube with a hole in the middle, this means the puzzle has no core and no centres to the mechanism has to work differently, due to the lack of centre pieces, the Void Cube can also have some interesting parity cases which may be challenging to solve! This magnetic version features extra stability while the UV coating alters the exterior feeling of the puzzle to make it feel smoother and shinier.

Shipping is done via Royal Mail, stock is located in Peterborough, United Kingdom so should arrive to UK addresses within a few days, international shipping may take a bit longer and transit times can vary significantly.

For most items I currently offer two shipping methods:

Tracked 24 for £3.95: around 98% of orders arrive next day after dispatch with this method

Tracked 48 for £2.85: usually takes 2 days after dispatch but does vary.

For orders weighing under 50g I offer these two shipping methods:

1st class for £3.95 which usually arrives next day

2nd class for £2.85 which usually takes 2-3 days

For customers outside the UK:

International Standard: non-tracked service that usually takes about a week but can take longer, please do not be surprised when the 'tracking number' you receive doesn't work, it isn't meant to.

International Tracked and Signed: tracked service that usually takes about a week but can vary.

You are responsible for checking local import and tax laws and are responsible for paying any taxes you may incur when the item arrives in your country. Please ensure your address is findable by your local postal services, I would suggest putting your address into Google Maps to make sure it is findable.

Returns

If the item is faulty:

If you find a fault with the product within 30 days that significantly restricts your ability to use it you may request to return it for fixing or a replacement if fixing is not possible. Once you have provided reasonable evidence that the product is faulty and cannot easily be fixed then you can return it to 128 Valley Road, Loughborough, LE11 3QA.

I will then attempt to fix it myself, usually I will be able to easily fix it and can then send it back to you quickly, if I am unable to fix it then I can offer a replacement of the product or a refund or similar product if the item is no longer in stock.

Please note that if a cube pops, this is not a reasonable justification for a return, all good cubes have the potential to pop occasionally, if it happens frequently you should consider tightening the tensions or turning more smoothly. Learning to fix popped cubes is an important part of your growth and development as a cuber, it is a very useful skill to develop, I have some tutorials on fixing pops on my youtube channel and there are obviously many more online.

QiYi Void Cube M UV

I'm really surprised, that is turning like almost same as regular 3x3. You can do descent times, but obviously you need one extra algorithm for one case. It is cube, which you can enjoy solve and it looks cool on shelf

Usable void cube

I'm still running it in but it feels almost as easy to turn as my Tornado V4! It may not corner cut as well, and isn't as flexible, but still feels good to turn and I'm really impressed. The only thing is, I don't know how to service such a cube. With my usual 3x3s, I add lube when they need it, and after a while, I completely strip them down to clean and relube. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. There's doesn't seem to be tensioning options but everything is very stable as it is.

Yes, obviously the void cube is never going to turn as well as an actual speedcube and the fact it is even close is very impressive on QiYi's part, there are obviously no screws in the normal place because that would undermine the whole point of the Void cube, however, there are screws underneath some of the corners, it is quite fiddly to get the pieces out to access them but it is possible.

A void cube suitable for speed-solving

This puzzle is quite fast, and has decent corner-cutting. Magnets are quite strong as well. It feels like an entry-level 3x3 speed cube, but it is great for a void cube. The "void" feature of this cube gives a bit more challenge at the cross stage, and sometimes it needs an extra algorithm at the PLL stage, which also adds a challenge for PLL recognition. Overall, I think it is an amazing puzzle which I recommend to every 3x3 cube fans.
