The QiYi 2x2 Gear Cube is a 2x2 version of the Gear Cube, at first glance, it appears that every turn of the puzzle turns all the layers and it can't really be properly scrambled as continuing to make any turn will eventually result in it being solved again, however, you are also able to pull out any of the 6 layers and doing so will result in a restriction on which layers will turn, making the cube more challenging.
