Max Tully breaks 2x2 NR average (1.00)

Max Tully breaks 2x2 NR average (1.00)

Last weekend at Stevenage July 2025, I got to hear the reaction when Max Tully broke the 2x2 national record average with an average of 1.00, this is obviously very close to being the first sub-1 average ever in the UK and places him 7th in the world! Max Tully is proof that little kids don't have to be Chinese or Polish to be very fast at small cubes!

Unfortunately, the video quality isn't great so it will be quite difficult to reconstruct the solves but here is a video of all 5 solves.

Max is apparently 11 years old and has been improving quickly at 2x2, maybe he will get good at other events soon too.
