QiDi S2 2x2x2

Daniel Evans.Jan 18, 2021
QiYi are now updating their budget non-magnetic line, this new 2x2x2 looks likely to perform nicely for a £4 budget (which is probably how much it will cost but unconfirmed as yet). It is 50mm which is still the standard despite QiYi's two latest flagships being 51mm and comes with the normal vivid QiYi budget colour scheme which is quite distinct from the standard stickerless scheme, the red is really pink and all of the colours are brighter. It also comes with very frosted plastic as have their previous budget lines, I will await to see how good this cube will be, hopefully I can attempt to order it in before Chinese New Year but I doubt it. Here is QiYi's video about it:

X-Man Flare 2x2x2 YouTube review

The X-Man Flare 2x2x2 is the first 2x2x2 to come with changeable magnets, meaning you can change the strength by just moving 3 switches. It retains a QiYi feel, similar to the Valk 2 and QiYi MS but is generally faster but a bit lacking on the corner cutting unfortunately which can lead to some annoying lock-ups. It is definitely a nice 2x2x2 and the cheapest of the main flagship 2x2x2s at the moment at just £13 (despite being the only one with changeable magnet strengths)!

X-Man Flare 2x2x2

We are very excited to have this new 2x2x2 in stock, it feels like a faster valk 2M but does not quite have the corner cutting ability of the valk 2, the valk 2 is however only good when set-up really well and since my only experience of well set-up valk 2s is from people selling me used cubes, I have no experience in setting it up properly, I suspect if this cube was set-up properly it would perform very well. It is the first 2x2x2 to have multiple magnet options meaning that unlike with the valk 2, you don't have to buy both the light and normal magnetic options to try them both! In fact there are actually three options. We await the opinions of good 2x2x2 solvers to really know how good this cube is

MoYu RS2M review

This is an interesting budget 2x2x2, unfortunately, it does not seem to be better than other budget 2x2x2s for me, some people will like it but it has quite strong magnets and is heavier.

This will be an excellent addition to the current line of budget 2x2x2s despite the stupid name, as we have mentioned in previous blog post, we expect this to be a very good 2x2x2, it is likely to be an opposite feeling cube to the Meilong 2x2x2 M, we expect this to be in stock at the beginning of November and will update on its performance when we can.

MoYu GuoGuan XingHen TSM 2x2x2 review | Will size-changing be relevant? | speedcubing.org

Daniel Evans.Oct 03, 2020
The XingHen TSM is an exciting new 2x2x2 from MoYu, it allows you to change the cubes size between 3 options: 50.0mm, 50.75mm and 51.5mm. It is a bit stiff out of the box but once you loosen the tensions and put a bit of fast lube in it, it speeds up significantly. It is nice and smooth with relatively strong magnets (probably 4x1 N50) but slightly lacking on the corner cutting. Unfortunately, it is only available in black so may not suit some people, hopefully this idea will be implemented into stickerless cubes soon though.
